What Of The Phoenix

In the midst of Morganna's plottings and plans for Camelot's destruction,
the wizards meet.
What of The Phoenix?
Shall she rise again?

In the midst of a trial when the castle bard battles a warrior gone bizerk, and the sky darkens above and thunder rolls,
what of the Phoenix,
shall she rise again?

In the midst of times when old friends ties may be broken assunder for the phoenix's sake,
and trust seems a mockery and a sham,
what of the phoenix?
Shall she rise again?

When arrow flies from cover and strikes the phoenix's heart,
when foreign wizards strive to claim the phoenix's very soul,
what of the phoenix?
Shall she rise again?

When the phoenix's keepers stake her reputation and title as heroine, life giver, knowledge keeper, and refuge for many,
what of the phoenix?
Shall she rise again?

Yea, the phoenix rises!
Yea, the phoenix rises!

As the roots of grass buried deep whithin the earth
spring forth to new life after each winter snow.
Yea, the phoenix rises!
And shall fly o'er field and plain,
To serve the needs of many.
for she is giver,
And givers receive life from those to whom they give.

Be still o trembling heart,
still and know,
the phoenix rises!
neaer to fall again.
