About Portal Tutoring
Portal Tutoring is a small business devoted to tutoring students from age ten on up in several areas Including: writing, braille, adaptive equipment, and most notably, Adaptive Technology. Although our concentration is in training those who are blind or visually impaired, we also tutor sighted students in The Humanities.
Portal Tutoring has been in existence since December of 2004 and it is located in Rochester, New York, USA, its clientele is international though most students reside in the U.S.
Those who choose Portal Tutoring find that they learn computer technology via concepts not via keystrokes. This makes it possible for a student to sit down at any computer running Windows and adaptive technology, and operate that computer competently. Since our philosophy is that access to a computer is vital for persons with disabilities, we want to insure that students can access as many computers as possible. Our concept centered approach guarantees maximum access.
